Is Madequecham the best beach on West in the entire East Coast of the United States? I can’t prove it with facts but I wouldn’t be at all surprised if it turns out to be true. Its just the nature of geography that West sucks at most East Coast beaches. But not Nantucket. Here West is perfect sideshore at Madequecham and often is accompanied by quality surf. It fires fairly often and when it is on you can count on it. You don’t have to rush to sail a solid west day. Its going to be there.
Madequecham on West with a decent Swell
On a day like yesterday, when Madequecham is firing at its best you can satisfy two needs. Scare yourself on the outside and enjoy unlimited quality hacks in the shore break. Its really good. Best on Nantucket and easily in the top ten on the East Coast. It has to be. I’ll bet it is the best spot.
